WHAT TO DO AS A TRUE BELIEVER IN THE FACE OF PERSECUTION

 







11 things that the Bible tells us to do when we go through persecutions


  1. Pray for your Persecutors (Father Forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing) Reference: Luke 23:34 Acts 7:60 Motivated by Love to Forgive them – “Lord, do not hold this sin against them” 
  2. Church should Pray together Thanking God for the Privilege to suffer “Church should not see the persecution as an evil thing. It is a Glorious Privilege to suffer for Christ” Reference: Acts 4:23-31 After they prayer, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly
  3. Do not Compromise your Faith in fear. But be Bold. Reference: Acts 4: 18-20 “Obey God not man” As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard 
  4. Trust God with all your heart to protect you and save you Reference: Acts 12:6 Mark 4:38 Luke 8:23 “you can Sleep Peacefully, knowing that He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep” 
  5. Patiently bear suffering without protest Reference: Matthew 26:65 Mark 16:65 Isaiah 53:7 HE was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter. 
  6. 6. Don’t answer your persecutors Reference: Mark 15:3 John 19:9 Commit yourselves to Him who judges righteously. God will defend you.
  7. 7. Praise and Worship God during your Captivity Reference: Acts 16:25-26 “Glory of God will come down and deliver”
  8. 8. Church must Pray without ceasing for the persecuted believers and ministers Reference: Acts 12:5 “Do not go to man for deliverance. God will bring supernatural deliverance” 
  9. 9. Pray for your Faith to be strong Reference: Luke 22:31:32 Jesus says “Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift all of you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers”. 
  10. 10. Endure suffering to the End Reference: Matt 24:13 Rev 2:10 II Timothy 2:12 “BE faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown” 
  11. 11. Count it a Blessing Reference: Matthew 5:10-12 II Timothy 3:12 Philippians 1:29 “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” “Persecution is a labor pain of the Church to give birth to Salvation” Revelation 12:2-17 Acts 16:27:33 1. Put a covering of Prayer all over your Family 2. Put a covering of Prayer all over your Church 3. Put a covering of Prayer all over your Personal Life God will send His angels to protect you. FEAR NOT. “Because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay” Psalm 16
